Check this area each month for new activities. Each month, we’ll try to give you a fun activity that has an educational base, but is also something that’s fun that your kids will want to repeat over and over again.

Hey, Something’s Missing!
This is a great game to help enhance memory skills.

What You’ll Need
A bunch of fun household objects or a few of your child’s smaller toys

Here’s What Happens

1. Start out small. Place five toys or household objects in front of your child.
2. Allow your sweetie to study the array of objects for a few seconds…maybe even tell you the name of each item. Next, have your child close their eyes while you remove one object.
3. Upon opening their eyes, can your child tell you which item you removed?
4. Now try the same thing with a much larger set of items. This is a great way to encourage memory skills and comprehension…two skills that will certainly payoff later when it’s time to study.
